Frequently Asked Questions
We get asked a lot of questions and here are some of the ones we hear the most. If there’s a question not covered here and you want to know the answer, simply send us an email! firstname.lastname@example.org
Safety and security are top priorities. We want to promote a safe atmosphere where kids can have fun and be themselves. We have a NO TOLERANCE policy when it comes to alcohol, drugs, bullying, fighting, and lack of respect for one’s peers.
When patrons enter the club, they will be subjected to security checks in the form of metal detectors, and random searches. Anyone that does not want to comply with this policy will not be allowed to enter.
Local police as well as our own security team will be inside and outside the venue to help make sure that kids are safe and acting responsibly.
Closed circuit video & audio recording is also present inside and outside of the venue.
We accept cash as well as visa/mastercard debt cards. When paying by debt card, there is a $5 minimum purchase. We also reserve the right to ask for additional identification.
We have strict age requirements to enter the venue. Detour is strictly for high school age teens. In order to get into Detour, you have to be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. To prove your age you will be required to have one of the following: High School ID Card, State Issued ID Card or Drivers License. If you do not have one of those items, you will need to have a parent complete an age verification form which can be sent to you by calling the club and asking to speak to a manager.
General admission to the entertainment complex is $12 per person. Occasionally there may be a special event in which the cost could change. For more information, visit our events page.
Nope. Once you’re in, you’re in. If you do decide to leave Detour, we will not let you back in the same night. We understand that some people need specialized medications like Epi Pens & Inhalers. We strongly suggest keeping them with you.
We are parents just like you are. Placing and building your trust in our staff and venue is extremely important to us. We invite parents to take a tour of our entertainment complex up to an hour prior to the doors opening. Of course if you have any questions, you can email management at email@example.com or just give us a call. Unfortunately we do not allow parents to stay during our normal hours of operation. It makes the kids generally uncomfortable and takes the fun out of it for them.
We do have a parking lot for our teens to park their car in. Parking space is limited, so the earlier you arrive, the better your chances of getting a great space. If you chose to have a parent drop you off, or you are using a ride sharing service – there are designated areas for drop off and pick up.
Sorry, no. Small pocketbooks and handbags are allowed but will be subjected to a visual search. You don’t really need much to have fun with us! A wallet or debt card, and a mobile phone are really the only things you need to bring with you. Detour is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings, so it’s best to just bring what fits in your pockets. There are a VERY limited amount of coin operated lockers on site.
NOPE! We promote a safe space for teens to have fun. Smoking or Vaping are NOT allowed.
We are a full entertainment experience. Some kids want to dance and play games, and some want to hang out and be with friends. We offer a beverage bar where soda, energy drinks, non-alcoholic frozen drinks, and water can be purchased and we have some simple snacks to go with them. At the snack bar we have things you can purchase like popcorn, soft pretzels, chips, pizza, and candy. If you or someone in your party has a food allergy, please make sure to ask to speak to a manager on duty before you place a food order.
